The Maris Chain is our take on a classic curb, a traditional chain style that has become a staple in both men and women’s jewelry collections. It is substantial, sculptural, and made to be lived in. Each link is cast in solid sterling silver, never hollow, giving the chain a satisfying weight and presence. Even though this chain has significant heft to it, the links fully articulate to your body making this necklace part of you, the weight becoming a comfort.
Named for the Latin maris, meaning “of the sea,” its softly irregular links feel as though they’ve been shaped over time. The silver will naturally deepen in patina as it’s worn, collecting the small scratches, dings, and marks of everyday life. We think that’s when it gets really good.
