FAQs

  • Sterling silver is an alloy made from 92.5 percent silver and 7.5 percent alloy.

  • Our jewelry from The Sterling Silver Collection is completely solid sterling silver with no plating, you do not have to worry about copper or other metal coming through over time. However, our jewelry will pick up a patina that is absolutely natural when metals are left to the elements and lived in. The metal oxidizes when exposed to air, much like an avocado, or any fresh surface for that matter, begins to turn brown after being cut. It is a chemical process. Patina is what makes an antique copper pot spot and richen in color. It also rusts a tractor in the field. Simply said, patina is what metal does when it is completely left alone. Over time, the metal shows age, time and use. You can easily polish your pieces back up to a nice luster with a polishing cloth, or silver polish your grandmother used to clean her silverware.

  • We recommend getting sized by a professional jeweler. If this is not possible, we recommend investing in this extremely useful and economical tool!
